Once I was home and being quiet and my father came home. He didn’t know I was there and he was just so quiet, and nice. Not talking, slamming anything. Tv at an appropriate volume. The second I made my presence known, suddenly he had to cough, yawn loudly, sniffle, slam cabinets, turn the TV up to 95, the works. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FOR ATTENTION.

I made him add a soft close function to our cabinet doors and I muted the microwave. Have dimmers on most of our lights, and look at him like he’s nasty whenever he hacks like that. Slowly turning him into a quieter person.

Why do they have to be the loudest person in the house, though? Especially, when I'm sleeping, like, how rude? I tiptoe around and make no noise, but he couldn't care less if I was asleep. It's just so disrespectful
