I stopped taking spironolactone because it messes up with kidneys and hear being on it for long term because it’s diuretic and clearing acne is just a side effect of it

Took it for 4 years and had the clearest skin of my life. Unfortunately it can make your temporarily infertile & I want to have kids in the near future so I stopped. Acne came back with a vengeance. It’s a bandaid fix to hormonal imbalances … trying to figure out root cause now. But it does wonders while you are on it.
