I always do messy notes, then re-write everything nice and neat afterwards so I can visually see it a second time. it was a game changer tbh!

My daughters both competes in math contests, they both asks random problems and when the other can’t explain it in seconds, then they automatically considers it as a topic to review. Not being able to answer and explain within a min = doesn’t understand it thoroughly. They’re just in 4th & 5th grade 🫠

I hyper focus when listening in class automatically saving everything in my brain. I don't review at all aside from the last 5 minutes before the prof asks to put away notes. So far, this made me top all my tests.

There is a similar dyslexic trick where you draw a simple pattern around paragraph in coloured pen and place on well used door or cupboard. The brain recalls the pattern and colour with the words inside. Using the wall up the stairs works if read every time you climb the stairs

teach a child definitely works...... primarily because you need to have understood the concept fully yourself, before you can use this principle.

Pretty absolutely is memorable. Colour coding is one of the best ways to recall study notes for a visual learner

I love #4, this is what I tell people. If you cannot explain it to a child, you don't understand it, and when you don't understand something its easy to forget.

I had a big test coming up in a college history class that I was taking. Riding in the car with my aunt, I told her all about the events around the world that lead to the US getting involved in WW2.
.
She loved it. She learned something that she didn't know or had forgotten, and in the process, telling her that story cemented it all into my mind, and I aced the written test a day later. ✨
