@akisamore: This isn’t how he imagined taking off his pads for the last time in high school. Not in a hospital bed after an injury, it should have been in the locker room surrounded by his brothers. My heart hurts for him. Football isn’t just about how you finish a game — it’s about the heart you put into every play. He gave this sport everything. And even though this ending hurts, it doesn’t erase the years of work, grit, fight, and love he poured into it. This chapter ended in a hospital room, but the next one opens on a new field, with new teammates, and a new chance to do what he loves. Tonight didn’t go the way he deserved… but he still has a future on the field. He’s not done yet! I’m proud — so proud — of the young man he’s become through this game.
The discipline, the fight, the leadership, the faith,the heart… those things don’t end with one game.
