I have every size Away bag and I’m obsessed. They have a lifetime warranty and I’ve never had an issue in many trips with my bags over at least 7 years.

If you’re looking for sustainability and quality, none of these make my list (as an FA). BUT if I had to pick one, Solgaard wins. Away and Monos are overhyped imo.

My husband and I went with Away two years ago. They role like a dream! We travel often, and I go to EU often for work. I can confirm that hauling the medium sized bag through the streets of Amsterdam hold up very well. I’ve had ZERO issue with our bags and we’ve been using them regularly for the last two years. Like you, I use my bags until the wheels fall off! My major purchasing decision was function. Make sure to get caster wheels whatever you do!!

Btw you can replace the wheels on bags. I got some rainbow rollerblade ones that roll almost too well

I have the Away larger carryon and it has always fit in overhead US and Europe. I have the Away Medium checked and I like that it never weighs 50 pounds, even when stuffed. Both have been problem free since summer 2023. ✅✅

If you haven't looked a Rilee's reviews, check hers out, I think she reviewed 2 of the 3 of these in the carry on size a year or so ago. I wouldn't need the expandable in tbe largest size bc they get to heavy at that point (for fees and also just ability to carry them). I think some of the carry-ons may not actually meet the size requirements for many airlines. But I would check Rilee's reviews!

If you check your Solgaard and it gets dented, they will send you a new case without the need to send the old one back
