Everyone who defended protecting the files faces backlash. One other possibility that nobodies looking at is the fact that Trump will have enough to make her go away. As a new member of Congress, she was asking for a pardon within 48hrs of taking her seat. She’s been involved with some very shady parts of MAGA alongside Alex Jones, there is her sexual history, her rampant insider trading, presumed campaign fraud (using campaign money for her own benefit) and even the rumour she was the J5 bomber. Add to that, she has no friends in the house since her buddy Matt Gaetz chose to go into hiding. The party could destroy her so easily. She may see herself having a polity career in the future after Trump has gone. But I don’t think she would rule out the possibility that she was told to get out quietly or being ruined

I'm pretty sure she's on (or was) a committee that would have had full access to the files. She's read it. She's giving me Jacqui lambie vibes. Came in on the right from a place of ignorance, read some things, educated themselves on what's going on, and changed their minds.
