Are you doing any of these⬇️ “But at least I’m going to the gym” Okay that’s great, I admire that This goes out to those who want to GET MORE out of their gym sessions and MAXIMISE their gym performance Let’s face it, over the course of the week, you probably only spend a very limited amount of time in the gym Maybe about 5-6 hours over the course of an entire week? So, make sure you are making the most out of that time that you’re in there Here’s some mistakes that I made in the past, so you don’t have to 1. Not eating before the gym Training fasted = low energy = weak lifts. A small protein + carb snack can go a long way. 2. Eating a huge meal right before Feeling full and sluggish will kill your performance. Give yourself 60–90 mins before training. 3. OD’ing on pre-workout More isn’t better. Too much = anxiety, heart racing, and a bad lift. 4. Not drinking enough water Dehydration = lower performance, endurance, and more cramps. Aim for at least half your bodyweight (lbs) in oz per day. 5. Skipping warm-ups Jumping into heavy lifts cold is a recipe for injury and stiffness. 5–10 mins of activation and mobility goes a long way. 6. Too much static stretching before lifting Static stretching before lifting can reduce strength. Save it for after your workout. Focus on dynamic warm-ups before. 7. Running on no sleep No recovery = no progress. 7–9 hours of sleep is essential for muscle growth and strength. 8. Going caffeine crazy Too much coffee throughout the day will fry your nervous system. Be smart about your intake. 9. No plan, just vibes Winging it in the gym leads to slow progress. Follow a structured program built for your goals. 10. Scrolling mid-set Kills your focus, rest timing, and momentum. Stay locked in. Instagram can wait.
