great job, but a few things; George Johnson of Afrosheen gave Don the money to launch to show outside Chicago and go nationwide - eventually Don moved his show to L. A.; And years later Don didn't really understand HipHop/Rap, so he had different celebrities host the show like Shemar Moore from SWAT fame, Young and Restless and Criminal Minds. And finally sold it

We loved watching that show because we rarely saw the artists and a LOT of the music were black artists in the 60's and 70's. Unless you saw them in a magazine or record cover, we had no face to put the music with.

I remember watching this show when I was a kid in the 70โs it was one of the few times we saw black people and culture in our tiny Northern community! I loved watching the dancers and the seeing the clothing styles.
