Gratuity should be automatically added to dine in service.

Know the facts: servers in 20 states only make $2.13hr, since 1991. When dining in a full service restaurant, you pay the bill for the product and facility. Tipping is for the service. Don’t tip, please let the staff know in advance and see what the quality of service will be (basic)

$2.33 is still the average wage for servers in this city.. the only job that hasn't had a raise in minimum wage in decades..

True waiters at sit down restaurants did make only $2.125/hours. I did it for years.

People should get different jobs if they’re not paid enough tips are not required. They’re a thank you if you do a great job.

if you think about it servers make a lot of $ per hr. think about it, in an hr let's say, the server has aprox 8 tables in an hr, every table tips aprox $15 , so they are making at least $150 per hr on top of there wage. so in an 8 hr shift they make aprox $1000 in tips alone, so no I don't feel sorry for the server

It’s basically about three dollars an hour for servers. I don’t understand where everybody in their brother thinks. They deserve a tip!

I’m a server and I make 2.23 an hour. I’m so grateful to all my tipping customers because I sent my daughter to catholic school and supported my son when I was widowed on those tips. I get why you are over tipping culture, but not all servers are like the stereotypical maniacs you see on here

And by the way if they paid us a livable wage everyone would pay three times as much to eat out because the money had to come from somewhere, people can’t grasp that concept
