all I'd add to this is that you do not just blindly select Type A, it's best to consider whether you have a Type B(Y1 with lower than 2.0 firmware) as the compatibility differs between these two identical looking but different Y1 versions it's also best to reboot your system after installing any drivers so they're enabled correctly

I did this but when I turned it on to check if rockbox showed up, the rockbox screen letters and what not was pretty small and was in the up left corner, is that normal or should it fill the screen evenly?
