Current line cook and couldn’t agree more, I think so many people HATE cooking cause they can’t operate in this way. It’s very satisfying serving dinner and having very little to clean

I’m not an ex line cook but my brain brains like this too, and it transfers to everything. It’s been great for ceramics! I love when I get in the perfect efficiency zone. Worries go bye bye

I was not a line cook but worked FOH and still do FIFO, mise en place, and clean as you go. People are shocked when I tell them I baked bagels, made dinner, and had the dishes done
