@thinkingcanine: This dog is very uncomfortable in this situation. It happens. Dogs can have issues. The first step in treating an issue is recognizing it for what it is, preventing it via management, and getting your dog some help. Especially when you have an older dog, it’s important to make sure you don’t allow something like this to escalate into a bite. Clearly this dog was saying, get out of my space! And often dogs like this do way better with just a little bit of work.
