@circ.12: The Confederate States of America (CSA) The Confederate States of America was an unrecognized state in North America that existed from 1861 to 1865 in the southern part of the modern United States of America. Circassia covered the southern half of modern Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Adygea, Karachay-Circassia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and parts of North Ossetia-Alania and Stavropol Krai.
