really difficult situation, many of my mates who graduated with me back in 2021 have experienced this in different companies. but it's also so surprising that across so many companies how did bullies end up getting promoted so high up in the organisations 🙄 Also as Christian posted yesterday confidence over competence video, probably bullies just tend to be confident that's why 🙃

I had an ongoing incident with a customer sexually assaulting and harassing me for a significant period of time. When it was finally reported on our systems and reached higher up, I ended up being moved out of that store, but then they were going to put me back in there which is just absurd. I then emailed them saying I can’t go back to that store, please don’t put me back there, and then was put on a PIP plan, had my email ignored and pushed out of my job via all the higher up managers. It’s just absolutely insane how uneasy it is to report anything at work. You make too much noise and you become a target, even if you are the victim

The people at the top are never the most qualified. Never. They have no clue what they are doing. Call it out every day. The people that stay working in these companies are enablers. It will never change while the people at the top are part of the “mates club”.

I got my awful bully manager fired. I suspected senior management knew something was wrong but didn’t have enough evidence to act. I patiently collected so much evidence then went to snr mgmt when the moment was right. The bully was fired the next day.

where’s the line though between walking away and constructive dismissal due to leadership neglecting their responsibility to mitigate psychosocial hazards? eggshell skull theory applies to mental illness but is it a futile attempt to seek reparations?

My boss is creating a fear based workplace, I dread going to work, first full time job since having kids ten years ago, I cant just leave. But we are HR so that’s hard! And the Hr above her, who in the head office “seem” to love her!? We are regional. So it’s super hard and I hate to say vulnerable for me,, and I’m on a fixed term contract. It’s been a super hard 7 months. However I create a pause answer back polite, minimalist but factual when she rides me. But I dread needing a reference as I just can’t say I’m confident she will give me a good one, however my previous two references when I was offered the job were glowing and I know that. Anyhow keeping my wits about me and I’ll be thru it 🙈☠️🧛🏻♀️

My boss is a terrible person, he spends a lot of time making life a living hell for women. He especially goes after the female cleaners (they are a contract company making so little money), he lies all the time about people actions and behaviours as a way to “condone” his attacks as justification- a they deserve it because they are lazy, liars, reckless etc. I hate him. HR could do nothing, his boss knows it but refuses to manage it.
