Hadith concerning orphans emphasize that caring for orphans yields great rewards, both in this life and the hereafter. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that in Paradise, he will be near someone who cares for an orphan, similar to placing the index and middle fingers next to each other. Also, the worst home is one where an orphan is treated poorly, and the best home is one where an orphan is well cared for.
