It might just be me being neurotic but I swear I can taste the freezer in my frozen cookies? Like you I also make a huge batch and cook as and when we need (help to keep the weight down) but I always get a supple aftertaste of whatever’s in my freezer. I store them in ziploc bags. And even bought a 2nd freezer to store meat and stinkier food in to try and eliminate this problem. Do you have any tips please?
