There is such thing as “Japanese cuisine”, it either sushi or ramen or something all the same anywhere. They just change the package and branding to make it seems like varied. Actually all their food originally came from China …….

A lot of people like ramen (Chinese), yakiniku (Korean) tempura (Portuguese), curry (British) but no one has ever hard glazed cold tofu, ohitashi, or cured fish paste.

the top 5 cities with the most michelin star restaurants, 1st is Tokyo, 3rd is Kyoto and 4th is Osaka btw. Japan has 3 cities in the top 5 while holding 1st. Regardless of your own opinion this is a fact.

finally someone said it as well. the quality of Japanese food is great but the dishes are boring. Chinese, Thai, vietnamese are examples of asian cuisines that I think are much more interesting and tastier. Spanish, Mexican, Italian food are also very high in my list.

日本料理がドップとは思わないが、日本に居れば、イタリア料理、中国料理、タイ料理、その他、殆どの国の本場の味のレストランが有ります！他の国で全ての国の本場の味が食べられる国は日本以外有りません。

日本食って言っても和食のカテゴリーの中にも幾つかあって殆どの外国人は季節の懐石料理までは経験しないよね。お好み焼きやもんじゃなんて中学生が放課後寄り道して食べれるジャンキーなものだし。
