I deal with electronic ID checks and the amount that fail because the ID photo is full glam and but when they take a selfie to confirm likeness it’s there everyday look.

I got my hair done and did extra make-up for my new passport and I don't regret it one bit. I have it for the next 10 years so why wouldn't I want to look good on it.

In Finland we have these passport-Photo Booths; you pay 10€, go in and can take as long as you want to get the perfect photo (with instructions in the screen). Way better than having someone just snap a picture of you like “1 2 3, you are all done” or trying to take one at home with a ring light!
