🚨 Images extrêmement difficiles du drame au Népal 🇳🇵💔 Un ami m’a envoyé ces images bouleversantes prises pendant les inondations dévastatrices qui ont frappé plusieurs régions du Népal, au cœur de l’Himalaya. Sur cette vidéo, on voit l’eau et les débris envahir les rues avec une violence impressionnante. Face à la montée des eaux, l’homme qui filmait a eu le réflexe de rejoindre un endroit en hauteur. Cette décision lui a probablement sauvé la vie, contrairement à de nombreuses personnes qui se trouvaient encore dans la vallée ou sur les routes lorsque la crue est arrivée. À la fin de la vidéo, il aperçoit une maison avec des habitants réfugiés sur la terrasse. Il choisit de couper l’enregistrement avant de montrer la suite, par respect pour ces personnes et parce qu’il comprend que la maison risque d’être emportée par la puissance du torrent. Les images qui suivent sont particulièrement douloureuses et nous rappellent la force imprévisible de la nature. D’après les premiers rapports, cette catastrophe aurait été provoquée par l’effondrement d’une partie d’un glacier ou par une avalanche de glace et de rochers, déclenchant une crue soudaine chargée de boue et de débris dans les vallées himalayennes. Les autorités poursuivent les recherches et le bilan pourrait encore évoluer. Je remercie la personne qui m’a transmis cette vidéo. Et surtout, je rends hommage au courage et au sang-froid de l’homme qui a eu le bon réflexe de monter en hauteur pour se protéger. 🙏 Toutes mes pensées et mes sincères condoléances vont aux familles des victimes, aux personnes blessées, aux disparus et à toutes celles et ceux qui ont perdu leur maison, leurs proches et leurs moyens de subsistance. The video shows water, mud and debris violently rushing through the streets. When the water began to rise, the man filming had the presence of mind to move to higher ground. That decision may have saved his life, unlike many people who were still in the valley or on the roads when the flood arrived. At the end of the video, he sees a house with people seeking refuge on the terrace. He decides to stop recording before showing what happened next, out of respect for those people and because he could see that the house was at serious risk of being swept away by the powerful torrent. The following images are deeply painful and remind us of the devastating and unpredictable force of nature. According to early reports, the disaster may have been triggered by the collapse of part of a glacier or by an avalanche of ice and rock, creating a sudden flash flood filled with mud and debris in the Himalayan valleys. Rescue teams are still searching for survivors, and the official death and missing-person figures may continue to change. Thank you to the person who sent me this footage.
