Can we be honest about being a small business owner for a minute? 🥹❤️‍🩹 Between working a full-time corporate job, studying, being a mom, and running a business, I’ve spent the past few months feeling completely burnt out. Somewhere along the way, creating content became harder. Showing up consistently became harder. Even finding the energy to pour into something I’ve worked so hard to build became harder. And of course, my sales reflected it. 📉 The hardest part is knowing what you need to do to grow your business but not always having the physical, mental, or emotional capacity to do it. Because life doesn’t pause just because you’re tired. Your responsibilities are still there. Your bills are still there. Your dreams are still there. And sometimes, you’re so busy trying to keep everything together that you forget to check in with yourself. But I’m learning that a slow season doesn’t mean it’s over. Taking a step back doesn’t mean you’ve failed. And being inconsistent for a while doesn’t erase all the hard work you’ve put in. I’m learning to give myself the same grace I would give someone else. ❤️ To every small business owner trying to build something while working a 9–5, raising children, studying, or carrying responsibilities nobody sees: I see you. You are not lazy. You are not a failure. And you don’t have to run yourself into the ground to prove that you want it badly enough. Rest if you need to. Start again when you can. Take it one day at a time. We’re figuring it out, one step at a time. And sometimes, showing up again is the biggest win of all. 🥹🤍 Here’s to finding our rhythm again, rebuilding our businesses, and remembering that we’re human before we’re entrepreneurs. 🥂✨ Small business owners, how have you REALLY been coping lately? Let’s talk in the comments. 🫂❤️ #SmallBusiness #smallbusinessowner #africannetsponge #southafrica #businessowner
