Peaceful island :
As an Indian using a VPN to watch this video, I am truly grateful for people not being racist towards us for once. Please stop believing social media; the way they portray us is really sad. On social media, people go to the worst, oldest, and most overcrowded areas of India and sit on trains and buses where local middle-class Indians never set foot. As an Indian, I have never stepped foot on a third-class train. Yes, there are three classes: first class, second class, and third class. First class costs about 5 dollars, and most Indians travel there. Third class costs 35 cents, and foreign tourists go there to film. What do you expect? What if I went to the poorest street of New York and recorded a video there? Yes, India is a developing country, but we have good areas. The place I live has schools, colleges, universities, cafes, McDonald’s, and more. We have one of the highest concentrations of engineers, doctors, and lawyers. Don’t think we are dumb; we have one of the hardest education systems. Where do you think most educated Indians do with their degrees like engineering and medicine, which are very common in India, ofc they work buy big houses expensive cars. It’s almost a rule to have a degree in India. We have good neighbourhoods, but the creators won’t show them because they won’t get views and likes. We have the biggest IT market on earth, with millions and millions of engineers—more than the population of some countries. The same goes for doctors. There are good areas. I completed my 10th grade in the USA; we were there for one year because of my dad’s project for his company as an engineer. In the USA, I saw both beauty and poverty. I am back in India now, but the USA got me hooked on TikTok. Anyway, my main message is: don’t believe social media; it’s deceiving, and stop racism against us. Most Indians abroad are skilled workers like engineers and doctors; we help your economy. Indians in India deserve dignity too. Yes, we have poverty, and I am not denying it; it’s visible. But does poverty make a country less human? Just remember this line from me: as an Indian, the videos shown online are false and are heavily made in struggling areas of India 🇮🇳
