remember when CK said that college is a scam? yeah. Trump is trying to end colleges from doing this any longer. There is no reason anyone should bury themselves in debt for the rest of their life for a college degree of any sort.

As a nursing school student, I don't care. With everything else, if you need 100-200k to go to school, knowing you can't afford those repayments upon graduation, maybe the realignment is a good thing.

You can easily get those degrees for under the $100,000 minimum lifetime loan cap. The $200,000 is reserved for JD and MD which obviously cost more.

Let's take the massive subsidies we're giving to ivy leagues and instead open a free online university for trades, nurses and whatever other skills we need. Keep the costs limited to only the classes and testing that cannot be done online.

You answered your own question. Healthcare is high in demand so tuition cost will only go up. Nurses will need to take out private loans at higher interest forcing them to work longer to pay off. 50 year mortgage also more costly. Essentially forcing middle class into long term payments who can’t retire earlier. Benefiting the very wealthy profiting on all the interest

hey, LAB here! we've been FORGOTTEN as PROFESSIONALS (kinda like along with pharmacists) and have been OVERSHADOWED with NURSES and DOCTORS taking OUR credit for YEARS. Deals and discounts offered to "healthcare professionals" ALWAYS included you nurses but NEVER us (even though over 70% of info used to treat a partner comes from THE LAB) So boo hoo excuse me if I feel zero sympathy.

They need to get rid of the useless classes for certain educational paths, such as nursing, doctors etc... schools force you to take stuff that has nothing to do with your major and that's part of what makes school expensive...

My concern is that people who have these degrees already will be faced with employment and pay issues since they are no longer considered professionals. I could see employers using it as an excuse to give less raises or lower the pay for new hires
