My mare Crystal used to do this, round corners she would scramble up the walls one day out of no where after Iโd owned her for 5 years. We travelled without the partition and problem solved, it caused her to spread her back legs to balance and stop leaning on the partition and scrabbling on the sides!

I would always recommend wearing travel boots! Even for the best behaved ones you can never be too careful

This is generally a combination of psychological & physical. Bodywork checking sacroiliac and surrounding areas. small changes can affect balance. take partition out but still tie as normal so horse can angle body. allow to lower neck to aid balance.

Sounds so stressful! Definitely try no partition, it worked wonders for my horse that hated travelling. Also where are your blue bandage pads from?

Honestly Mine was the exact same! We took the partition out and she travels foot perfect she was the same with just moving the back she still scrambled I would just take it out! Some just need to find their own balance. It wonโt affect the trailer at all. U would think they need the partition to balance but they donโt!

Gutted for you! So frustrating, was hoping the shavings would do the trick for him! It could be worth getting the trailer serviced / checked incase infrastructure problem/ something not right too! X

Have you had his shoes removed?? My old mare was fab in the box until I removed back shoes didnโt know why until had shoes put back on! Fingers x. Xx

Another vote for no partition once they start scrambling they donโt stop take partitions out and get full bars and cross tie

Maybe try taking him out with another pony or horse so he's not alone and he feels safe? Xx

You need to have back bars lovely. The risk is heโll be leaning on the ramp which he can damage. Try to get or borrow full bars without partition. Get camera too to see whatโs actually going on x
