I don’t understand why people are so bothered by the fact that someone owns that drive and doesn’t want everyone on it.

Don’t know if the OP knows, but he can put in a Google request that blacks out/labels the property as privates or the property name on Maps & in theory people will understand that it’s not public access. Im not sure what it’s called, but it’s free & can be done.

Jammie’s Art :
Montana has an issue where private landowners will buy land surrounding public land, and close roads or paths that people historically used to get to the public land. At best it means a detour, at worst it can make public land inaccessible. It’s a tough situation for all involved.

When you move to a small community, where people were used to walking through someone’s property and someone puts up a gate, you instantly turned the whole community against you. But the upside is no one’s gonna walk through your property.
