Similar recipe. Sugar included. I’ve stopped frying my meatballs, and put them in the cooking sauce to cook. Seems to make them more tender. Recipes come from my parents who got them from my grandmother who was from Naples. Came here as a Franciscan nun. Talk in Newark in the Catholic school for years before she left not receiving her final vow. Best Italian cook ever. She was brought up by the France nuns in Rome.
