I think you really nailed it when you talked about feeling forced to make it work due to fear of not finding someone else more compatible, especially when there’s sensible chemistry and attraction. Even in bigger cities the dating pool for lesbians can seem really small and interconnected which can make it seem scary to branch out I think. And in my opinion this ties down to comfortability in being with yourself and not forcing a relationship that isn’t serving you!

There's this girl that no matter where I go I will always think of her. It's been 7 years since we met, we never had anything, I've dated two women after but somehow, she stayed in my mind forever. I still think of her before I fall asleep, I create different scenarios where we both love each other, or, where I'm loved and seen. I don't know if it's love or loneliness while I keep trying to fill the void. Anyways, I still write poems about her.

I love this take actually… this year I learned to cut people off even when feeling suuuper in limerance and that has been the most freeing thing. easy? not at all, a constant battle between the heart and the mind but slowly balancing them out.

every single word in this video resonated with me. was so obsessed with dramatic, intense, angsty romantic love as a kid. never felt it for the boys i dated. the first time i fell really hard for a girl and it was reciprocated, i literally drove myself to the point of insanity. i was obsessed with her and convinced myself she was perfect despite not really being that compatible. in hindisght, it was just a projection of everything i so desperately wanted.
