It probably has to mostly do with production stuff to make the quality as good as it is. They might edit stuff around in post after the performance, before they stream it.

It’s not that deep, we get to see it the same day from a professional view. They only show certain artists, seems as if they want a steady show with interview breaks. Not us just waiting around with a blank screen waiting for the next artist.
