I worked in Holden parts for 6 years. HSV parts can only be sold by original HSV dealers like Hamilton holden you called. the business I worked for wasn't a HSV dealer, we would have to call other dealers to order those in. 'old part numbers' - they superseded part numbers all the time when they made changes or brought them in or had other places make them. it could be also cause they were defected etc so they superseded them to another part number and keep rolling them out. Once Holden went bust in 2020 we were told after 7 years parts would also no longer be made. They only have an obligation to make and supply for so long apparently

I know I'm in NSW but my partner has always gone to the commodore shop in Thornton NSW Australia. They've been super helpful! You might be able to get something similar from them and get them to ship it ☺

Next time, call us at ACM Parts. We have a warehouse in Perth.. and we also have a colleague who exclusively only sells HSV parts
