I just have something to say about the tragic boat mishap in East New Britain Province which just doesn't add up. Swimming directly across an approximately ∼16km wide channel with strong current in the middle, rough seas, and strong winds is nearly impossible; These 3 points should be considered; 1. *Swimming distance*: A 16km wide channel is already a marathon swim for elite athletes with 6-8 hours non-stop in flat, calm water. In real rough weather conditions, it takes much longer. - The accident occurred around 3-4pm, the 2 skippers to swim safely across to safety in the rough weather conditions before 10pm...🤔🤔 2. *Strong current in the middle*: The middle section will push you sideways faster than you can swim forward. Going straight across means you fight it the whole time and barely move. - But the skippers still did it going against the force of nature...🤔🤔 3. *Rough seas + strong winds*: Waves break your rhythm, make breathing hard, and drain energy. Wind creates chop, drag, and pushes you further off course. Visibility and navigation get worse. - And yet again the skippers still swam directly across the 16km wide channel like a piece of cake and even one of the skipper unbelievably still had his cap on after swimming through these weather conditions...🤔🤔 Under these windy weather and rough seas, you’ll burn out in the first 1-2km trying to fight current + waves + wind. After that you drift, not swim. Directly crossing a 16km wide channel in those conditions becomes physically impossible. No one can swim directly across a 16km channel in those conditions. This can only be done when you travel with the current at an angle to get past the strong current section, conserve energy by floating, and only cross when conditions calm. In this kind of area, a boat is the ONLY safe option. Mi just tok chol, upla yet skelim... #copypaste #creatorsearchinsights #foryoupage #fypシ゚viralシ
