We are back with another episode of the Comment Section Chronicles, and this one hits a little closer to home. The timing of this comment was actually pretty wild. I was just having a deep conversation about this exact topic with a friend during a hike this morning. For most of my life, I struggled with caring way too much about what other people thought of me. When I first started creating content, comments picking apart my appearance genuinely got under my skin, and I even changed things about myself just to stop the noise. Navigating this space and researching heavy topics takes a real emotional toll. I have lived a lot of life, I am absolutely not perfect, and I never claim to be. The single greatest gift of building this platform has been learning to completely let go of the need for outside validation. Today, the casual insults roll right off my back. I still highlight these moments because this world is already heavy enough without us going out of our way to be unkind. Before you type out a negative comment about a stranger’s appearance, just pause for a second. Think about the women in your own life, your mother, your sister, or your daughter, and think about how it would feel to see someone write those words to them. You can keep writing them about me all you want. My peace is entirely taken care of. I just hope we can start choosing basic human decency and compassion over picking each other apart. Stay critical, look out for one another, and let’s keep leading by example. 🖤 . . . #CommentSectionChronicles #HumanityFirst #LeadWithKindness #PersonalGrowth #ChooseCompassion.
