My stepson called me mom recently (myself and my fiancé were not around) and apparently he got reprimanded. My fiancé sat him down and told him if that’s how he feels it’s ok. He’s nine and he constantly shares how much he loves being here with us. I treat my stepchildren like I birthed them myself. And people are always shocked because of the struggles of my own fertility. But they are apart of my fiancé and I love him so I love his children. His children attached to me the moment I met them and basically moved in right then lol.
