Hardware costs more and impacts the profit margins. software however is coded once and maintained. The price of the pixel indicates that their margins are likely higher than phones like iPhone and Samsung per unit sold.

You hit it on the nose with a hammer I couldn’t have said it any different. Google operating system is super fast super snappy. It’s great. I don’t have one anymore. I gave it to my wife, but there’s still days I missed the phone for how fast it was.

I have the Pixel 9. I'm fine with the prioritizing software. The phone is as solid as any other phone to me regardless of the chipset. it's smooth. it's fast. the updates are great, I really don't have any complaints other than the fingerprint reader should have stayed on the back of the phone.
