@sashablossom: Think of anxiety not as an enemy to avoid, but as an alarm signal to listen to. It’s your body’s way of saying: “something in here needs your attention...” The tricky part is that our instinct is often to turn away from it. To distract, to minimise, to push through. But what anxiety truly needs is the opposite: turning towards it. A willingness to tune in, ask and listen. I invite you, next time you feel that coiling discomfort of anxiety, to imagine that you are turning your inner eye towards it with compassion. 🌱Then, try asking yourself: What do I feel in here? What do I need? Have I honoured my needs lately? What feelings, tasks or truths am I avoiding? Where am I out of alignment with what actually feels right for me? If my body could speak, what would it say right now? What's the smallest form of expression I could implement in this moment, even if its just an slow exhale or a self-hug? Are my physical foundations tended to: rest, nourishment, hydration, movement etc? Do I have even one safe space for connection or community? Am I being honest with myself about what’s not working? Do I have enough predictability to feel held? Do I have enough spontaneity to feel alive? Your answers aren’t meant to shame you, they’re meant to guide you. To show you're body its listening so its turns off the alarm. Notice where you can make slow, patient adjustments. Above all, meet your anxiety with compassion. Shame only tightens the knot; presence helps it loosen. 🌱 Healing isn’t linear. But it is responsive. When you listen, your body softens. Note: this is not a one size fits all & there can be other explanations for all behaviours. This isn’t a diagnosis or a substitute for professional support.

Kira :
Whats annoying is that usually these things are really small, like choosing blue sprinkles instead of the usual red or smth

I’m glad you’ve posted this, inner healing, reflection, identifying primary emotions and such. You explain it so well. Some of us neurodivergents do have an echo of that anxious nature tho as a constant setting. Primarily from how society can function. I theorise that can extend to each human in its own way too. Regardless of brain loadout. But even that runs off your point, identifying and accommodating. Acknowledging both internal and external environments. Self love and self kindness is so important. Support needs tho and such sometimes can’t be met, or we will tweak over sudden sensory stuff etc. I just felt it was important to mention that too 🫶🏼 adding my voice to a space it wasn’t asked for, but commenting nonetheless (didn’t proofread, just typed. Hope my ramble made sense) 🦕
