my cat never got the idea to push the button which to be honest is too hard for her. She just flips it over and over and over and get food that way.

if you gave them a treat every time they touched the lever then progressed it to pushing the lever then they would eventually get it.

My 2 cats never figured out how to push down the lever. They just kick at it and push it around, throwing it across the floor until food fell out of it!😂

the hard part is getting them to realize they need weight to push down. that was the hardest part of teaching my cat to use buttons

This is how big our cat was when we first got her three years ago (for reference, she’s still a little chubby at 9lbs, for her frame size… she was around 30+ then 😅) I think this would be an excellent sensory choice for her!
