@pimpichc: My Artemis design carries the blended nature of a deer, a rabbit, a bear, and a wolf. (Many people have asked about the design of my deity, so I'd like to explain that each god is inspired by animals and symbolic items associated with them, including a carefully chosen color palette.) Deer This is the most prominent part of her. Her face, her body, and the markings across her skin all reflect the essence of a deer. I designed her antlers to resemble the crescent of the moon, curving like silver light. Rabbit This appears in her ears, her nose, and her tail small details that soften her wildness without diminishing it. Bear You can see this clearly in her cloak, and the moon-shaped marking on her chest is inspired by the Asiatic black bear. Wolf Her ruff, the fur that frames her shoulders, takes after a wolf’s mane. Her teeth carry that same influence sharp, untamed, and made for survival. For her clothing and adornments, I tried to draw from her original mythology, even if not every detail is accurate. I added feathers across her body, along with bone charms, animal hides, and fangs, to make her look more deeply connected to nature. A small detail: because my Artemis loves to climb, leap, and move freely, her cloak is designed so that she can glide like a flying squirrel when she moves through the forests. (In my interpretation, Apollo and Artemis received their Sun and Moon earrings from their mother when they were young, but the twins chose to wear them swapped.) It serves as a reminder to her that: within her cool, moonlit stillness, the warmth of Apollo is always beside her. #artemis #art #greekmythology #epicthemusical
