We’re being told it’s all for our protection—but let’s be real: the long-term impacts of these policies will fall hardest on ordinary people, especially future generations. Once your identity, finances, movements, and access to essential services depend on a single digital system, the balance of power shifts dramatically—and not in favour of the public. We should be able to talk about child safety without being pushed into mandatory tech systems that expand surveillance and reduce personal freedom. These are huge structural changes that deserve real debate, real transparency, and real consent—not fear-driven campaigns and political spin. Australia deserves better than policy by propaganda.
