@clarkybateman: what I’ve slowly come to hate is how unaware a lot of people are, yet they’re convinced that they ARE aware, hence why they make some comment or remark immediately based on their emotions or their immediate impulses due to what’s exactly in front of them, with no further attempt to think deeper. it’s only in questioning things that we begin to understand how much there is truly outside of what we can perceive. the dunning Kruger effect applies to all of reality itself and I think that’s also been driving me insane. I’ve quite literally started to question everything about everything and it’s made me think about how little there is that I truly know or that anyone does, and why we do certain things that are “normal” and what any of those things even are, why that system even exists etc. Not a single concept or norm exists that is a universal truth, it’s just what you’ve been told by somebody at some point or another, and created a mental jail for yourself among those values that may not even truly matter to you as an individual. Maybe I’m a slave to the concept of freedom, but I’m not a slave to the conceptual walls that have been built around me. Nothing even truly exists, as every single thing you perceive only exists as a pattern that your brain recognizes.

I hear you. I’ve been questioning this life for a while and exploring the ins and outs of relationships, why we value certain things over others, where these beliefs that we have deeply instilled in us even come from. There’s all these concepts that we abide by and a lot of people don’t question them. We have this passed down idea of success which typically involves the accumulation of material wealth thinking true happiness lies at the end of it… but it usually doesn’t. It seems like the more I question it all the less sense it makes. But I think that freedom lies in letting go of it all and understanding that you’re nobody and everything at the same time. You’re just here to simply Be.
