@sethrussell181: This cool, cool morning the first sound I heard was my rooster crowing like he owns the whole world. The chickens were right behind him, already wandering around acting goofy and curious about absolutely everything. It’s honestly so funny how they think anything might be food — a leaf, a rock, my shoelaces… nothing is safe. But watching them reminds me how simple and honest nature is. Everything out there is about survival: staying warm, finding food, keeping the flock together. There’s curiosity, sure, but it’s all rooted in that natural instinct to maintain and survive. And somehow, there’s beauty in that simplicity. My little flock has no idea how profound they are — they’re just being chickens.
