Say we are on the lower end for the rep range like 5. We hit that for our first working set. The next set we obviously aren’t gonna be able to do as many. Would we move the weight down for the second set or just keep it the same knowing we probably aren’t gonna be able to hit the same amount of reps?

I do 5-8 reps and usually once I can get 8 clean reps I can add 2.5 lbs and get 5-6 reps without any form breakdown.

Doing 2 sets of 6-8, Once i reach 8 reps on both sets i up the weight and i usually get 6 reps on both. I do this weight until i can reach 8 reps for two? and repeat. Is this good??

Let’s say I do 3 sets of 6-10 reps on an exercise, if I do 11-9-8, should I up the weight? I’m thinking that it should be when you average the high of the rep range on all sets that you should put heavier next time, like you would need to get 30 reps in total. Does that make sense?
