I work in insurance and took a claim like this years ago. It was a total loss. There’s no way to remediate this damage. The fumes will stay forever, so a health hazard. The house had to be torn down and everything they owned was lost.

My mom had a defunct underground oil tank removed from her yard years ago. A few errant drops spilled into the ground as they were removing it and it turned into an EPA staging nightmare. This house is a total loss.

I delivered oil for years, No Tank Don't have Pipes,seal them or Take them out of wall. Shit like this happened all the time.They will have to dig 20 feet under that house.Never get the smell out of the wood it soaks in

Happened once to the oil company I used. Oil company then made it a rule somebody had to be home accept deliveries and first time deliveries had to be home and give access to the oil tank..

As someone who works in the petroleum testing field, seeing dyed heating oil on my feed gave me whiplash. MY TESTING ISNT UNTIL TONIGHT YOU CANT MAKE ME GO BACK YET.

Please, please, please get an attorney. This happened to our neighbor and they paid for everything and they got $750k (about 32 years ago) and ended up with a house in Gloucester.
