If you look at real trees a lot of them taper at the bottom due to animals, so I think it’s meant to mimic a more realistic one.

I saw another creator post what I think is the same tree and their bottom tier was smaller, the same way this one is. I think it is to mimic a real tree, the bottom is usually a bit smaller but most of the time those branches get trimmed off to make room for gifts to fit under.

The section seem weird, but maybe it’s so presents can go under the tree and not be as hidden… I don’t know. Definitely looks a little weird, but maybe with other decorations it’ll be OK…
