You forgot to mention that all the characters in book are terrible people and extremely dislikeable... like nobody does anything good. Fiyero comes closest, except he's cheating on his wife the whole time... 😭 And Elphaba just goes more and more insane.

shoes were originally silver in the wizard of Oz book and they changed them to ruby in the film to show off the technicolour, so it makes sense why they stayed silver in wicked, also I'm pretty sure they copyrighted the ruby slippers so they can't be used in other films or productions

hard disagree, the entire musical deviats massively from the book. besides a few names/details there's virtually nothing in common between the musical/movie and book.
