@sacramentourbanmedia916: #ViolaFordFletcher — one of the final living witnesses to the 1921 #TulsaRaceMassacre, who devoted her later years to demanding justice for the white mob’s destruction of her childhood community — has died at the age of 111. Her grandson, Ike Howard, confirmed Monday that she passed away at a Tulsa hospital with loved ones by her side. A woman of deep faith and remarkable resilience, Fletcher raised three children, worked as a World War II shipyard welder, and spent much of her life supporting families as a housekeeper.#fyp #viral #trending
