That crack will not cause the under boost condition. Every single 1.4t will have that crack.

It’s normal. Check the pcv valve in the intake Chevy made a bulletin on those btw🤦🏽

my '16 Trax has a turbo with a crack 4x bigger than that one and it still makes stock boost- something else is wrong....which for that engine could be a lot of things

Those are always cracked on these 1.4s. probably not going to completely fix the underboost. many plastic parts also leak run a leak test!!

The turbo has a 10 year/193,000 km warranty. Check the vin number on GM recall website. It will show you if it has extended warranty.

was tuned at 20psi for 80k miles on a Sonic. never once had an underboost code. grenaded the oil pump at like 136k, but never had a 2099 lmao

3 times i seen this code twice on cruze and once on a malibu, every time was a hole burned through the intercooler hose from touching the serpentine belt

It’s the pcv valve. Not the turbo. Been dealing with mine for years. Do a pcv delete kit and it’ll be fixed.
