They brought my mom the wrong baby after she had me. She was yelling at them “that is not my baby!”. My dad tried to calm her (embarrassed) and finally the nurse realized her mistake. My mom saved me from being a swapped baby.

when I had my second daughter. they took her to do the normal test. she left with a unicorn blanket I got her. and when she comes back she had a pink elephant blanket. I wanted to say something. but they we're already trying to take her. saying I had alcohol in my system. and I had a C-section. and I keep telling them I don't drink at all. I don't like it. and if I did I would bleed out because alcohol thins you're blood and I had a C-section. I proved my case and got to keep my baby. but I still wonder about it sometimes. I have brownish red hair and her dad has brown hair. and she has strawberry blonde hair. she is 4 now and no matter what she is my daughter. I just hope if they we're switched that the parents are loving to her. like I love my daughter. never go to Lebanon Tennessee hospital to have a baby.

In 1983, when I was born, my mom tells the story about how they took me to the nursery and they came back and handed her a baby with a full head of black hair. She looked at them and said yeah, I know my baby was bald. So yeah. I was switched at birth and saved by my baldness.

our hospital has coordinated wrist bands for mom and baby that go on after baby is born along with an infant ankle monitor that will sound if you get to close to the maternity ward exit doors or if it isnt taken off correctly

Fun fact: My grandmother told me there's a chance my mom was switched at birth, and they love us all unconditionally but the older she got the more they wondered and we're all scared to do a DNA test. 😬

that's why I was so glad my son was the only little boy in the hospital born when he was😩 I was so out of it cause I had an emergency c-section and my blood pressure dropped really low. I didn't even get to see him at all until two hours after he was born😭😭
