my husband and I eloped and it was the BEST, I found a notary off of Facebook and she signed our papers in a middle school parking lot across from her work lol. it was the best decision ever!!!

We got married in a fairly big wedding- it was important for us because we felt it legitimized our relationship. In hindsight, I wish I woulda given our families the 🖕🏻 and saved the 30k. But, I do think it did what we intended it to do. So, do with that information what you will ❤️

Ok I say this as someone in the wedding industry, i know soooo many wedding vendors who chose eloping for their own wedding instead of a big party bc they KNEW how chaotic & stressful wedding planning can get!

my husband and I eloped in the mountains in NC a couple years ago. just us, no one else was invited. it was the perfect day and we regret nothing!!! his family is still bitter, which shows we made the right choice for us 🥰

We only invited our closest friends and family. Had a tiny ceremony at a park pavilion. Dinner after with family. Then had an outdoor party at our house in our garage and driveway. Finger foods, drinks and cake.
