@nurse.jackiecrna: Just because you see a post that CRNAs make a lot of money doesn’t mean you should go run with it solely based off of that. You need to do what financially makes sense for you. Running numbers before even applying for school is extremely important. #crnaschool #crna #nursing #nurses #nursesoftiktok

Short term investment for a long term goal. The ones who get it, get it🤏🏽.

The math does work and come out ahead in the end for almost everyone - but if the ONLY goal is money, then yes the ROI isn’t immediate and there are MANY other ways to make great money in nursing.

this is exactly the mindset i had when thinking about going back for CRNA. 1) realized my long term goal was not to work full time forever (my wife wants me to stay home/work prn once we have children), and with the existing debt i have, loss of income (about $96k/yr), and the debt i would have to accumulate in order to go to school, it did not make sense logistically whatsoever. and now having to think about taking high interest loans if the DOE caps them…yeah. with the money she will be making, we will be more than sufficient if i stay in an icu prn or work pacu and i’ll still have my career to fall back on god forbid something happens and still be able to take care of myself.

Just wondering, do you find it hard to maintain your average? I saw most crna schools require atleast 83 average in classes or you get kicked out? Do they bell curve? Do people tend to fail out often?

I want to pursue CRNA so bad for the job autonomy and pay. But for the reasons you listed and for how intense it would be, it may just be a dream atp.

i kinda have the same idea with going back to school with BSN like a lot of my lpn classmates didn’t work as an lpn and already going back to school for BSN and im like howww. like yes the loans will probably be the same if i go back to bsn in the future but rn it doesn’t make sense for me to go back for my bsn cause that means another few years of no pay and stuff etc my other classmates don’t have to worry about bills etc they can make that financial decision. good for them!! but i understand why people drop out but dont drop out if U CAN AFFORD IT. When I was in lvn school i felt so behind and taught that i have to go back for bsn but now im ok going back to bsn school until im 30 which is like 5+ years from now. i need this financial stability 😭😭😹

New grads in my area make $185k. That's not enough to blow up my life and go into debt.

i see videos about surgical nurses making 300k+ all the time, travel or per diem... i'm a surgical nurse in the top 1% of pay in the country for my specialty and i assure you they do not. it's all smoke and mirrors to boost engagement
