This is why we need to directly invest in healthcare not just insurance plans. Medicare has such a high risk pool so insurance companies can have low risk people paying into profits without having as many payouts, and Medicare gets all the most expensive patients. If we put half the amount we pay for private insurance to actually healthcare costs we’d be so much better off…
