Okay so, as an officer and a father of a boy with autism. Please also check with your 911 call center, ask if they have the ability to put a "premise hazard" or some kind of alert about your specific address. My address brings up an alert that my son is on the spectrum, is non verbal, may not respond or come when called, and may run. Anyone should be able to request one.
It allows officers and rescue to see it in our CAD. You can include information that helps us interact too.

I babysat a child who was part of project lifesaver. be warned, some children may absolutely hate the ankle bracelet, and try taking it off, and teach whoever the child will be around what to do should they elope

If your kid has this problem you as a parent should have steps in process to prevent it.

Anyone judging has NOT dealt with an autistic eloper. This is not something you parent out that easy

this program is amazing! my grandfather has dementia and will think he’s in a “hotel” sometimes and “go home” so we got this on him a few months ago!!!

Our son has one. His school resource officer changes and checks it every 3 months. It is peace of mind for sure!

As a 911 dispatcher, I agree 100%. Every time we get a call for an adult or child that walked away from home and I see they have project life saver, it is such a relief.
