I’m a volunteer dog tracker, and we always post on ring immediately to surrounding areas and use footage to assist in the save. It’s amazing!

I’d be careful with this partnership. Ring is being accessed without consent by law enforcement all over the country. It’s literal government surveillance ppl are voluntarily putting in their homes. It’s great that it’s been used to help find dogs but there’s def better options.

it's more than the sidewalk bridges and networks that ring connects to; if you don't turn off the "pet finder" option in settings the camera also records audio and video inside your home. this is NOT the tech savior of pets

You should check out FidoTabby Alert! It’s an amber alert system for pets that notifies anyone in the system within a 5 mile radius when your pet goes missing and how to return them to you, along with pictures of the pet

there are better options. FI collar or whistle are GPS based and you can set perimeter to notify if your pup leavesit.

We had a dog get out of the yard and he disappeared over night we looked for like 6plus hours until it was just took dark to keep looking. 6am the next morning I went and looked again we was found 8 miles from our house. It was the scariest 14hrs of my life

Air tags are another great option for dogs who are escape artists! I had one of my dogs collar for years who used to escape frequently and we were able to pinpoint her location quickly every time she got out! Game changer

Stalkers can get on and say they lost a pet to look at someone’s cameras, I chose to opt out until they can make sure it’s used appropriately. I post to ring whenever I see dogs in my area…
